The company designs, builds and manages IT solutions in the e-business sector. I am involved on Sun Solaris systems setup, configuration, troubleshooting, installation, patches revision, day-to-day maintenance of the enterprise servers and Sun storage systems on Solaris systems Experience with clustering software (High Availability) in a production environment. RAID disk array and shared storage configurations using Veritas Volume Manager, Solstice DiskSuite and Raid Manager Experience with administration of domains running on a Sun Enterprise 10000 and SSP at backend level for some Oracle databases to be managed with its software (Solaris, Sun cluster) and its hardware (system boards, control boards, controllers). My role is also hands-on: assemblage of Sun hardware i.e. connecting and configuring Disk Arrays to Sun servers or adding CPUs (with a multi CPU servers), memory modules, SCSI devices on Sun boxes. Fault analysis of server problems I am responsible for backup and restore system project of all environments: configuration and support for backup policy; management of scheduled jobs and the development of shell-scripts and Perl to automate controls and notifications for failed backups Experience with migrations and moving of Sun boxes (ex: from Sun E 10000 domains environment to a) Sun E280s cluster) and their applications (ex: Oracle, nfs, MQ Series, iplanet) with no or minimum disservice (according to the customer's SLA).
