For our client in the pharmaceutical industry based in Mainz, we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer/Consultant (m/f/d). In this key role, you will develop and implement tailored DevOps solutions for regulated environments. You will be responsible for selecting and customizing tools, explaining technical concepts in an accessible manner, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. As a central point of contact for various teams, you will provide technical expertise and guidance. Your Responsibilities:

  • Selecting and qualifying tools as well as developing custom functionalities
  • Managing and improving processes, best practices, and guidelines in DevOps engineering
  • Ensuring the necessary IT infrastructure for running DevOps tools, developing and executing delivery pipelines, and integrating them into SDLC, ALM, and test management systems
  • Supporting and advising stakeholders, DevOps, software, and systems engineers in the area of software automation
  • Close collaboration with test automation experts
  • Coordinating with enterprise IT as well as software and system development teams both inside and outside of PSE, including QA and validation specialists

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
  • 3-5 years (or more) of experience in a Senior DevOps role
  • Ideally, at least 3 years spent in one position or project to demonstrate long-term commitment and continuity
  • Strong process-oriented mindset and understanding
  • Experience in architecting and monitoring cloud-native applications or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with agile development (e.g., Scrum) in cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Ideally, experience in a regulated environment (GxP, GMP) or the willingness to learn these processes
  • Solid knowledge in documenting processes and technical implementations
  • Hands-on mentality combined with the ability to advise and train teams
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
